Never Ending Weekend is a slow fashion accessories brand that specializes in bold and unique colour combinations that strike the balance between functionality and design. Each piece is custom handmade by the owner/designer/manufacturer, Brooke Cannon, in her studio on Vancouver Island, with a focus on natural all-weather materials such as waxed cotton canvas.

In 2003, Brooke was making bags out of vintage fabrics and marine grade vinyl and selling them at boutiques in Victoria, BC. She applied last min to the Fashion Arts Program at VCC in Vancouver and was accepted with enthusiasm by the program director. She left the island to pursue furthering her education in textile arts and to build upon over a decade of self-taught sewing. After graduating, she was chosen by a fashion brand in Vancouver for her practicum and was offered the chance to pivot her talents into graphic design, where she spent the next 15 years, working for several fashion brands and small businesses (and kept sewing as her creative outlet at home). Her experience in fashion arts, marketing, and manufacturing combined with spending two decades working for other small businesses (in a myriad of different roles) culminated together in 2020 when she made Never Ending Weekend her full-time love affair.

N.E.W. is a manifestation of all the things in life that inspire Brooke: the textures, style and colour palettes of the ‘70s and ’80s, old Ikea/Swatch/Benetton ads, that “ah-ha” moment when playing with unexpected combinations of colour, the cosmic balance between Yin and Yang, and other artists across a spectrum of mediums.

I am really excited to have beautiful products to share with you that draw from my decades worth of sewing experience and are a reflection of my personality and style.

Thank you for your support, it means the world!
